The Alacrity Newbie Pantry!

Since the prices of food have gone up quite a bit, Alcemistv (#3906) suggested that we start a food pantry of sorts for the newbies. I've volunteered to be in charge of everything.
The new food prices are making it more difficult for current members to take care of their dogs. We don't want newbies to be intimidated by these prices, so we're going to try to help them by providing 20 random food items to all newbies who request it. Newbie Helpers are going to start including something in their greetings that lead newbies to my account if they need food, and I'll send the food over as soon as I can. The status of "newbie" is determined by the same ID number requirements of the Newbie Raffle.
Of course, it is going to be expensive to feed all the newbies, and it's not something I can do by myself. I know all you guys are worried about paying for your own dog's food, but if any of you have hoards or simply want to pitch in, all donations can be sent to me on this account (#7424). My wishlist is currently set to three common types of kibble, making it easier to donate.
Any suggestions on how to improve the newbie pantry can be sent to me or newbie helper J'aime (#5594) who is one of the geniuses behind this idea! Alternatively, you could just post ideas here.

I love that the kind members of Alacrity have reached out to help newbies in need with something like this, but food prices have since been dropped. I'm going to close this thread because it doesn't seem necessary anymore. If you beg to differ and think that something like this is necessary for our beloved newbies, please message me directly (on #36)!<br /> <br /> <b>EDIT</b><br /> Three still has a rather large stock of food donated by our lovely Alacrites which needs some Newbie homes! If you're a newbie and find yourself in need of food, please message ThreeWhispers (the founder of this thread) to have some of this stock donated to you. Yep, 20 items of food free to every newbie that asks for it. So I'm definitely going to need donations to keep this going :)
